Hanson Wade Group has appointed Carol Cairnes as Head of HR Operations, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to scale its specialist information and community-driven platforms globally.
With more than 20 years of HR leadership experience across hospitality, retail, and international service organizations, Carol brings deep expertise in people operations, workforce strategy, and culture transformation. In her new role, she will lead enterprise-wide HR operations, shaping policies, governance, and ways of working that align with Hanson Wade Group’s values while supporting high performance, engagement, and sustainable growth across hybrid and international teams.
Prior to joining Hanson Wade Group, Carol worked as an HR Consultant and Freelance People Advisor in London, partnering with startups across the pharmaceutical, hospitality, and property sectors. Her work focused on building people strategies, strengthening recruitment frameworks, and designing effective onboarding and engagement systems.
Earlier in her career, Carol spent over 16 years at D&D London, progressing through senior leadership roles including Director of People, Group Head of People, and Head of Talent. During her tenure, she led people strategy across Europe and the United States, driving culture change, talent development initiatives, and global HR governance within luxury hospitality operations.
She previously held HR leadership roles at Sainsbury’s as Human Resources Manager and at INTEC Japan as Training Manager, gaining strong foundations in international HR, workforce development, and operational excellence.
Carol’s appointment reflects Hanson Wade Group’s continued investment in its people and culture as it expands its global footprint.
